This study was conducted to establish the synthesis of N-acetylcysteine loaded poly(L-lactic acid) nanoparticles and its precision delivery to the acute lung injury cells. The cells were characterized by biochemical assays and electrochemical impedance method and it was found that N-acetylcysteine loaded poly(L-lactic acid) nanoparticles showed better results over N-acetylcysteine in the treatment of Acute Lung Injury (ALI). Due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, N-acetylcysteine scavenges the peroxide produced during acute lung injury which heals the cell and helps to increase the impedance data in treated sample. Due to slow, sustained, and controlled release of N-acetylcysteine from the nanoparticles, the cells healed rapidly as observed by biochemical and impedimetric assays.
