Comparative assessment of LNG and LPG in HCCI engines

A recent paper by the authors [1] detailed a thermodynamic model for HCCI engines fuelled by natural gas. The present paper continues in the same direction by proposing to compare the performance of natural gas fuel to LPG fuel in HCCI engines. Operating parameters such as compressor pressure ratio and equivalence ratio are discussed as to their effect on the overall system performance. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
