We introduce methods for detecting communities in networks using the dynamics of a laser network. These methods utilize phase synchronization of the coupled laser network. In these methods, lasers within the same community share the identical phases with small phase errors by making use of in-phase and out-of-phase couplings. Numerical simulation shows that our methods can identify the community structure of the networks with artificially generated communities.
