Kinematic viscosity has been measured for nine separate aviation turbine fuel samples. The nine samples span the range of fuel types available: conventional petroleum-derived fuels, synthetic fuels derived from the Fischer-Tropsch process, and renewable fuels derived from biomass feedstocks. Results for a tenth sample intended for use in quantifying the total sulfur in fuel oils are also included for comparison. All measurements were made at ambient pressure and over the temperature range of 293-373 K. A significant degree of variability is observed among the measured viscosities. Measurement data for the conventional fuel samples were also compared to the predictions of two existing surrogate mixture models.
