Big Data and its Challenges: A Review

From last few years, the data is growing very fast in terms of volume and variety. This increased variety leads to the unstructured form of data which makes its analysis a more complex and a much tedious task. Data whose volume is huge is known as Big Data and it is collected from numerous sources with heterogeneous formats. Because of its volume and variety, traditional data management tools are not suitable for handling and analyzing it. And, it is only valuable when it is properly managed and efficiently analyzed. So, new technologies and techniques are required to manage and analyze to make it informative. In this paper authors are focusing on various characteristics, sources and challenges faced by Big Data. Paper also highlights a comprehensive literature review on available techniques and technologies of big data.
