In this study, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and anthranilic acid (vitamin L-1) have been effectively employed as green surface modifiers of nanosilica (NSi) to immobilize and acquire two novel nanosorbents assigned as NSi-Vit C and NSi-Vit L, individually by means of microwave-assisted reactions and mechanochemical blending approaches. The produced nanosorbents were confirmed by instrumental analyses and portrayed to impose good improvement and excellent selectivity in adsorption by microwave heating and removal of Cu(II), Cd(II) and Pb (II) from water samples to illustrate green, quick and sustainable approach. Various factors; microwave-contact time, pH, nanosorbents dose, initial metal ions and competing ions influencing the metal sorption results were investigated. The best characterized adsorption capacities by microwave heating by NSi-Vit C and NSi-Vit L for Cu(II) were 1450 and 1650 mu mol g(-1) at pH 4 and for Pb(II) were 1550 and 1700 mu mol g(-1), respectively. Finally, at pH 7 these were 1500 and 1800 mu mol g(-1) for Cd(II) using 10 mg of nanosorbents at power 800 W for 15 s. The sorption of divalent metals was evaluated with the Langmuir and Freundlich models to demonstrate different adsorption mechanisms. The propposed MW method accomplished quick remedy of Cu(II) with 92.2 and 93.1%, Cd(II) with 94.1 and 97.1% and Pb(II) with 92.9 and 94.3% from tap water utilizing NSi-Vit C and NSi-Vit L.
