A near-alpha Ti-6A1-7Nb alloy was processed by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) and the features of microstructural transformation were studied using EBSD analysis and transmission electron microscopy. The results show a non-monotonic variation in the density of low-angle and high-angle boundaries of the alpha-phase grains with increasing strain during ECAP. The relationship between the misorientations of the grain boundaries and the mechanical properties of the alloy were examined. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
