Ecofriendly and green synthesis of carbon nanoparticles from rice bran: characterization and identification using image processing technique

Nanotechnology is a new emerging technology having endless applications in the real world. It is a technology whose future is completely uncharted. It is an interdisciplinary field that has brought evolution in the current era of various applications and developments in various fields such as applied science, mechanical, electrical and many others. In this paper, we highlight the multidisciplinary green approach toward the mass production of carbon-based nanomaterials as a natural precursor by using rice bran. The synthesized carbon nanoparticle (CNP) was characterized by using various instrumental techniques like FTIR, XRD, SEM-EDAX, TEM and UV-Visible spectroscopy for confirming the presence of carbon particles in nanosize. Then, by using image processing technique in computer science, the CNP was identified through pixel intensity difference obtained in SEM image. Also the corresponding algorithm has been identified to be used in image processing technique.
