In this work, the sources of the high creep resistance of martensitic steels containing 9% Cr were considered based on the results of studying the evolution of the dislocation structure of martensite in P92-type steel in creep at 650A degrees C. The steel structure after tempering was characterized by significant elastic microstrains of the crystal lattice, which were produced by dislocations of the same sign and long-range stresses from the dislocation boundaries of laths. The high creep strength of martensitic steels containing 9% Cr is reached by the action of both threshold stresses from carbonitrides M(C,N) and by internal elastic stresses.
