A nonlinear optical nanofiber Schrodinger equation with three variable coefficients is investigated. The equation can be used to describe the propagations of optical pulses in inhomogeneous optical nanofibers. Analytic rogue wave solutions and compatible condition are obtained by using similarity transformation. The both of the three variable coefficient functions are entirely free in the solutions. By choosing the group velocity dispersion (GVD) as Gaussian function and gain coefficient as linear function, Gaussian-type rogue waves are excited. The GVD parameters and integral parameter can control the rogue wave propagations in shapes.
