In this study, ultrathin alpha-Co(OH)(2) nanosheets intercalated with molybdate were successfully synthesized using a one-step coprecipitation method, and the derived Co-Mo-O mixed metal oxides demonstrated outstanding catalytic performance in the aerobic oxidative desulfurization (AODS) of fuels using molecular oxygen (O-2) in air as the oxidizing agent.
