In this study, Ti-6Al-6Mo alloy was investigated to identify phase intensity and hardness after solution treatment in various temperatures and media of quenching. As-cast of Ti-6Al-6Mo alloy covered by silicon ampules were treated at various temperatures of 950, 1100, and 1200 degrees C for 12 h and quenched in air and water. The phase of the alloy after quenched was characterized by optical microscopy and x-ray diffraction, while the hardness of the alloy was characterized by Rockwell hardness testing. The alpha and alpha' phases in the beta matrix were observed after solution treatments. Air quenching exhibited higher of alpha phase intensity compared to water quenching. Around 55.69%; 73.47%; 80% of the alpha phase was revealed in Ti-6Al-6Mo alloy after air quenching in the temperature of 950, 1100 and 1200 degrees C, respectively. High intensity of alpha phase compared to alpha' provided high mechanical properties in this alloy.
