In order to improve a light outcoupling efficiency in bottom emission organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), an interfacial layer of ZnO nanorod was grown on an outside of glass substrate. The ZnO structure have nano-sized bump structure and higher refractive index of around 2.1. Light extraction of OLED was improved to be more than 150%. This ZnO structure is useful for lower temperature fabrication and simple process just only growing on the ZnO using solution process without patterning.
