The aim of this study was to determine the isotopic-turnover rate (R-IT) and trophic-discrimination factor (F-TD) in muscle tissues of Lebranche mullet Mugil liza fed an experimental diet (delta C-13=-27.1 parts per thousand; delta N-15 = 1.0 parts per thousand). Juvenile M. liza exhibited a relatively fast R-IT, with a half-life (t(50)) of only 16 and 14 days for delta C-13 and delta N-15 respectively and a nearly complete isotopic turnover (t(95)) of 68 and 60 days for delta C-13 and delta N-15.
