A compact Wilkinson power divider with negative group delay (NGD) and low signal attenuation is proposed in this paper. The proposed structure consists of a modified Wilkinson power divider and two resistor-loaded L-shaped branches. The NGD characteristic is achieved by coupling the resistor-loaded L-shaped branches to the arms of the Wilkinson power divider. Using the proposed structure, a two-way microstrip equal power divider is implemented. The measured group delays and S-parameters between two different paths are -1.34 ns, -5.63 dB, -1.36 ns, and -5.67 dB at 1.997 GHz.
