beta-Cyclodextrin modified gold nanoclusters (AuNCs@beta-CD) with near-infrared (NIR) emission were facilely and successfully prepared based on a one-pot and green synthesis route, which provides an interesting and efficient strategy to realize NIR emissive nanoclusters via supramolecular macrocycle modification.
