Developing efficient approachs to synthesize nitrogen-doped graphene materials is significantly important. Herein, it is reported that nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide (N-rGO) had been successfully prepared by pyrolysis of poly(p-phenylenediamine)-rGO (PpPD-rGO) hybrids. The combined characterizations of Infrared (IR) spectra, Raman spectra, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the structure of N-rGO. Most importantly, such N-rGO shows good sensing performances for simultaneous detection of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA), and uric acid (UA). The linear ranges of the sensors for AA, DA, and UA are 0.1 mM-4 mM, 1 mu M-60 mu M and 1 mu M-30 mu M. The detection limit for detection of AA, DA and UA are 9.6 mu M, 0.1 mu M and 0.2 mu M, respectively. This work provides a highly effective approach for preparation of graphene-based materials for electrochemical sensing applications. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
