In order to analyze the properties of a low-frequency electromagnetic wave propagating across the sea-air interface, a novel accelerating computation approach is proposed by modeling the sea and the air with a lossy Drude dispersive medium. Illustrating two cases shows the advantages of reducing the consumed run time and enhancing the calculation efficiency. Moreover, an inspection of comparing the numerical results and the theoretical results verifies the accuracy and validity of the proposed approach. An analysis of the application example also shows that the sea waves affect the amplitude and phase distributions of the low-frequency electromagnetic wave when going through the sea-air interface.
