This article present model approximation analysis for the Electronic Wedge Brake (EWB). The analysis is performed based on the optimized version of EWB brake. The model reduction analysis is made based on 3 factors, which are the motor inductance, lead screw axial damping, and wedge mass. The new simplified model is analysed based on time and frequency domain The Hankel model reduction is used to support the approximation model. The exact model is very important in explaining model behaviour, but a less complex model with adequate accuracy will simplify the design and drastically reduce the hardware computing burden.
