A low noise impedance matching technique for electrically small antennas is presented. To increase the bandwidth, the Bode-Fano theorem is applied to a magnetic electrically small antenna as a High-Q resonator. For prescribed bandwidth, the Bode-Fano theorem reveals the maximum received signal level leading to improve the overall noise figure. At the same time, an up-converter parametric amplifier as an active component is integrated into the structure to compensate for the mismatch loss introduced by the Bode-Fano theorem while maintaining a low-noise performance.
