Designing multifunctional hybrid metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are most important field due to its wonderful properties. Here, three MOFs components nanocatalysts (ZIF-67@ZIF-8@MIL-125-NH2) were prepared and characterized. The mechanism of incorporating ZIF-67 and ZIF-8 into MIL-125-NH2 matrix has been studied. Fortunately, the morphology of ZIF-8 was influenced by the free amino of MIL-125-NH2 converting its common cubic shape to rode shape. Increasing attention has been focused on investigating the effect of MOFs on bacterial biofilms. Surprising results were appeared; the bacterial biofilm was decreased (7 times less) when treated with ZIF-67@ZIF-8@MIL-125-NH2 framework compared with ZIF-8@MIL-125-NH2 composite. Moreover, the biological activity of ZIF-67@ZIF-8@MIL-125-NH2 framework shows 1.58 times higher than ZIF-8@MIL-125-NH2 against Gram positive S. aureus. Additionally, combing three MOFs together leads to prepared highly effective photocatalyst. The rate of alpha-naphthol degradation in presence of ZIF-67@ZIF-8@MIL-125-NH2 was 2.6 times higher than ZIF-8@MIL-125-NH2.
