Alleviation of salinity stress in plants by endophytic plant-fungal symbiosis: Current knowledge, perspectives and future directions

Sneha Gupta et al.

Summary: The use of endophytic fungi can enhance plant salt tolerance by modulating plant internal environment to maintain stability under salt stress. Further research on biochemical, molecular, genetic mechanisms of salt stress resistance and plant-endophyte responses to multiple stresses is crucial for future studies.

Application of abscisic acid and 6-benzylaminopurine modulated morpho-physiological and antioxidative defense responses of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) by minimizing cobalt uptake

Muhammad Kamran et al.

Summary: The combined application of ABA and BAP significantly improved plant biomass, root morphology, and chlorophyll contents of tomato, while also reducing oxidative stress indicators by activating enzymatic antioxidant activities. Supplying 6-BAP alone or in combination with ABA at 10 μM L-1 was found to be the most effective in reducing Co accumulation in both roots and shoots of tomato plants.
