Sparse non-negative super-resolution - simplified and stabilised

Summary: This study focuses on the problem of non-negative super-resolution, where a non-negative signal x is reconstructed from samples of its convolution with a window function. The study shows that x is the unique non-negative measure consistent with the samples and characterizes non-negative solutions within certain bounds. Furthermore, the study demonstrates the convergence of integrals of the solutions and the proximity of x and its approximation (x) in Wasserstein distance. Lastly, the results are made precise for Gaussian window functions, highlighting the significance of non-negativity in localizing point sources without requiring additional regularizers like total variation.

On the linear convergence rates of exchange and continuous methods for total variation minimization

Summary: The algorithm discussed is intended for the numerical solution of total-variation regularized inverse problems and is proven to converge linearly under certain regularity conditions. Additionally, optimizing the amplitudes of the target measure's positions continuously will result in successful linear rate convergence with a good initialization. Lastly, combining the two approaches into an alternating method is proposed and the comparative advantages of this approach are discussed.
