A series of ZnO nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via a biosynthesis method, and characterized using various techniques. The nanoparticles showed superior photocatalytic activities for indigo carmine degradation under visible light irradiation, along with high stability and reusability.
A series of ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by a biosynthesis method. The as-obtained products were characterized with powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Photoluminescence (PL) and Raman spectra. The ZnO nanoparticle exhibited superior photocatalytic activities for indigo carmine degradation under visible light irradiation. In addition, the photocatalyst exhibits high stability and reusability. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
