How important is domestic and foreign demand for China's income growth by business function?

Zhenguo Wang et al.

Summary: This paper examines the contribution of domestic and foreign demand to China's income growth by business function, using a global multi-country approach and structural decomposition analysis. It finds that both domestic and foreign final demands, especially the former, drive China's income growth by business function. China's income growth trends generally upwards, but show significant heterogeneity across industries and business functions.
