Selective and Trace Level Detection of Hydrazine Using Functionalized Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube-Based Microelectronic Devices

Fabrication of an ultra-sensitive hydrazine sensor based on nano-chips shaped nickel hydroxide modified electrodes

Summary: By synthesizing nano-chips shaped nickel hydroxide (Ni(OH)(2)) nanostructures, the possibilities provided by the nanostructure morphology of nano-materials can be exploited in sensing applications. The fabricated hydrazine sensor, which was modified with the nano-chips shaped Ni(OH)(2) nanostructures, showed ultra-high sensitivity, a linear response in a wide concentration range, and a lower detection limit during hydrazine sensing. The fabricated hydrazine sensor also exhibited highly reproducible fabrication process, stability, and selectivity. These nano-chips shaped Ni(OH)(2) nanostructures hold significant potential for future applications in nano-material-based chemical/biological sensors.
