BuildSenSys: Reusing Building Sensing Data for Traffic Prediction With Cross-Domain Learning

Xiaochen Fan et al.

Summary: This paper explores how to reuse building sensing data to predict traffic volume on nearby roads, presenting the creation of the BuildSenSys system for nearby traffic volume prediction. Through correlation analysis and cross-domain learning, a novel recurrent neural network with attention mechanisms is proposed, achieving up to 65.3% accuracy improvement in predicting nearby traffic volume.
