Ga2OSe monolayer: A promising hydrogen evolution photocatalyst screened from two-dimensional gallium chalcogenides and the derived janus

Yu Cui et al.

Summary: Using first-principles calculations, the HER activity of 2D gallium chalcogenides monolayers and their derived Janus monolayers was systematically examined. The Ga2OSe Janus monolayer with a 0.3% strain showed the lowest Delta G(H*) value, indicating its potential as a highly efficient near-infrared photocatalyst for hydrogen production.
