Development of a Web-Based System for Exploring Cancer Risk With Long-term Use of Drugs: Logistic Regression Approach

Hsuan-Chia Yang et al.

Summary: This study conducted a nationwide population-based, nested, case-control study in Taiwan using the National Health Insurance Research Database sample cohort from 1999 to 2013. It found that benzodiazepine derivatives were associated with an increased risk of brain cancer, while statins were associated with a reduced risk of liver and gastric cancer. The web-based system provided comprehensive quantified data of drug-cancer associations, potentially facilitating further research on cancer risk and prevention.
