Influence of wind barrier on the transient aerodynamic performance of high-speed trains under crosswinds at tunnel-bridge sections

Aerodynamic response of high-speed trains under crosswind in a bridge-tunnel section with or without a wind barrier

Summary: The study shows that a wind barrier with a height of 3 meters and 30% porosity in the bridge-tunnel section can significantly weaken the sharp change effect of the aerodynamic coefficient of high-speed trains, thus reducing train safety. Additionally, the wind barrier can reduce the aerodynamic fluctuation amplitudes in the bridge-tunnel section and minimize the difference in pressure distribution in the longitudinal direction.
