Bhautesh Dinesh Jani et al.

Summary: Among individuals reporting unhealthy alcohol use, certain biological factors (such as hemoglobin, BMI, liver fibrosis, and HIV status) were found to be associated with PEth sensitivity. Race/ethnicity was associated with PEth sensitivity in some models, while age, sex, and method of blood collection were not.

Integration of mental health counselling into chronic disease services at the primary health care level: Formative research on dedicated versus designated strategies in the Western Cape, South Africa

Katherine Sorsdahl et al.

Summary: The study found that despite efforts to integrate mental health counselling into chronic disease care, there is still limited availability of psychosocial and psychological counselling. Participants suggested tailoring the two integration models to the specific needs and available resources of each facility, while considering constraints within the health system and broader social context. There is a need for further testing and strengthening of health services to implement any model integrating mental health counselling into chronic disease care.
