Highly efficient yellow-orange emission and superior thermal stability of Ba2YAl3Si2O12:Ce3+for high-power solid lighting

Dayu Huang et al.

Summary: White LEDs (w-LEDs) have gained worldwide attention due to their economic benefits. A yellow-orange garnet-structural phosphor, Ba2YAl3Si2O12:xCe(3+), was developed with highly efficient emission and good thermal stability. Utilizing this phosphor, a high-power warm w-LED was achieved with high illuminance.

Narrow-band red-emitting phosphor with negligible concentration quenching for hybrid white LEDs and plant growth applications†

Kasturi Singh et al.

Summary: Narrow-band red-emitters play a key role in addressing issues with white LED technology. Newly synthesized Li3BaSrLa3(MoO4)(8):Eu3+ phosphors exhibit strong emission performance and stability for warm white LED applications. Furthermore, these phosphors maintain high emission intensity even under high temperature conditions.

New europium complexes and their use in red light-emitting diodes and vapoluminescent sensors

Rachna Devi et al.

Summary: Three novel trivalent europium complexes were designed, synthesized, and characterized, showing pure red emission in the solid phase and multiple emissions in solution. Among them, Eu(DBM)(3)Phen-mCF(3)-Ph exhibited the best quantum yield and an unusually high lifetime value. These complexes are efficient candidates for red-emitting LEDs and vapoluminescent sensors.
