The Relations and Role of Social Competencies and Belonging with Math and Science Interest and Efficacy for Adolescents in Informal STEM Programs

Summary: The study found positive relationships between social competencies, sense of belonging, math and science efficacy, and interest in adolescence. Social competencies have a positive indirect effect on efficacy and interest through belonging. These findings have implications for enhancing STEM motivation and interest in informal STEM programming.
