Facile cell patterning induced by combined surface topography and chemistry on polydopamine-defined nanosubstrates

Summary: Nanostructured substrates coated with mussel-inspired polydopamine micropatterns play a crucial role in facilitating cell adhesion and patterning. The combination of enhanced surface topography and conversion from hydrophobic to hydrophilic properties allows for selective cell adhesion and efficient formation of well-defined cell microarrays within a short period of time. This easy-to-fabricate nanosubstrate offers a simple yet effective platform for rapid cell patterning without the need for complex chemical modifications.
