Aqueous autotaxin and TGF-βs are promising diagnostic biomarkers for distinguishing open-angle glaucoma subtypes

Summary: The study found that aqueous autotaxin (ATX) and TGF-beta have significant value in distinguishing different glaucoma subtypes. The levels of ATX, TGF-beta 1, and TGF-beta 3 in aqueous humor were positively correlated with intraocular pressure (IOP), while ATX was negatively correlated with mean deviation.
