Diagnostic Performance of Chest CT for SARS-CoV-2 Infection in Individuals with or without COVID-19 Symptoms

Kristof De Smet et al.

Summary: The use of chest CT with Coronavirus Disease 2019 Reporting and Data System (CO-RADS) classification showed good diagnostic performance in symptomatic individuals, but was not sensitive enough for asymptomatic individuals, suggesting its limited application as a first-line screening tool. Incidental detection of CO-RADS 3 or greater in asymptomatic individuals should prompt testing for respiratory pathogens.
