Testing the isomorph invariance of the bridge functions of Yukawa one-component plasmas

F. Lucco Castello et al.

Summary: Recently, it has been conjectured that bridge functions in R-simple liquids remain nearly invariant along phase diagram lines of constant excess entropy. However, testing this hypothesis using the bridge functions of Yukawa systems showed that while they exhibit a high degree of isomorph invariance, deviations from isomorphism exceed overall uncertainties.

Theoretical Estimate of the Glass Transition Line of Yukawa One-Component Plasmas

Federico Lucco Castello et al.

Summary: The study combines mode coupling theory of supercooled liquids with the integral equation theory of liquids to estimate the glass transition line of Yukawa plasmas, from unscreened Coulomb limit to strong screening regime. The predictions improve upon current literature and confirm the validity of an existing analytical parameterization. It identifies structural vitrification indicators and demonstrates their quasi-universal nature through investigation of different types of supercooled liquids.

On the advanced integral equation theory description of dense Yukawa one-component plasma liquids

Federico Lucco Castello et al.

Summary: Different advanced bridge function closures were used to investigate the structural and thermodynamic properties of dense Yukawa one-component plasma liquids within integral equation theory framework. The comparison concluded that the two modified hypernetted-chain approaches were superior based on accuracy and computational speed. The isomorph-based variant was identified as the most promising alternative for computer simulations of structural properties of dense Yukawa liquids, and the potential for further improvement through artificial crossover to exact asymptotic limits was also studied.
