Chemiluminescence and electrochemiluminescence assays are widely used in various fields for their high sensitivity, rapid analysis, and easy operation. This review focuses on the recent advances in CL and ECL assays for acute myocardial infarction biomarkers, comparing the diagnostic value of different biomarkers and discussing the fabrication and application advantages of biosensors. Future research directions are also discussed.
Chemiluminescence (CL) and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) assays are widely utilized in clinical diagnosis, drug analysis, food testing, environmental monitoring and other fields because of their superiorities of high sensitivity, rapid analysis and facile operation. In this review, the recent advances of CL and ECL assays of acute myocardial infarction biomarkers were emphatically summarized. The diagnostic value of cardiac troponin, myoglobin, heart type fatty acid-binding protein, creatine kinase MB, copeptin and myocardial specific microRNAs as biomarkers were compared. The fabrication and application advantages of these CI and ECL biosensors were discussed. Furthermore, the further research orientations were also prospected.
