Facile construction of C3N4-TE@TiO2/UiO-66 with double Z-scheme structure as high performance photocatalyst for degradation of tetracycline

Elnaz Safaralizadeh et al.

Summary: The research focused on fabricating a double Z-scheme photocatalyst C3N4-TE@TiO2/UiO-66 (CNTU) with enhanced performance for tetracycline removal. The optimized composite 35CNTU showed significantly higher photocatalytic efficiency than pure TiO2, UiO-66, and C3N4-TE, attributed to its increased active sites and improved separation of electron-hole pairs. Additionally, 35CNTU exhibited excellent stability and recyclability, achieving a 96% removal efficiency of tetracycline under visible light in 40 minutes.

Hydrothermal synthesis of novel ternary hierarchical MoS2 /TiO2/clinoptilolite nanocomposites with remarkably enhanced visible light response towards xanthates

Pengfei Zhou et al.

Summary: Novel ternary heterogeneous MoS2/TiO2/clinoptilolite (MTC) nanocomposites with hierarchical structure were successfully synthesized via a moderate hydrothermal route, showing enhanced photodegradation activity towards xanthates under visible light. The degradation mechanism was found to follow a pseudo-first-order model, with superoxide radical anions identified as the dominant active species in the reaction system. The study proposes a promising application prospect for mineral-based photocatalysts in treating flotation wastewater.

Photocatalysis-Fenton of Fe-doped g-C3N4 catalyst and its excellent degradation performance towards RhB

Siyang Ji et al.

Summary: Fe-doped graphite-like carbon nitride composites were prepared and utilized for the removal of RhB in visible light/H2O2 system, showing excellent degradation efficiency and stability. The enhanced photo-Fenton catalytic activity was attributed to Fe-doping, which improved charge carrier separation and electron participation in Fe cycle.
