Comprehensive defect suppression in perovskite nanocrystals for high-efficiency light-emitting diodes

Summary: In this study, a one-dopant alloying strategy was employed to enhance electroluminescence efficiencies of metal halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) by reducing defect formation and enhancing charge carrier confinement. Surface-stabilizing agents and bromide vacancy healing agents were utilized to decrease defect density and improve carrier confinement, resulting in significant enhancement in performance.

Improved stability and efficiency of perovskite via a simple solid diffusion method

Summary: CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dots exhibit high emission quantum yield and wide color range, but suffer from low stability. A simple method using high temperature solid state diffusion was developed to synthesize highly stable CsPbBr3 QDs in LTA zeolite with a small pore size. The CsPbBr3 QDs obtained showed high photoluminescence quantum yield and remarkable stability.

Deep surface passivation for efficient and hydrophobic perovskite solar cells

Summary: The introduction of hydrophobic 3-(trifluoromethyl) phenethylamine hydroiodide (CF(3)PEAI) passivation agent on perovskite films enhances the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells. CF(3)PEAI forms a 2D perovskite structure, penetrates deep into the films, passivates internal defects, and improves long-term stability. This passivated perovskite film exhibits better energy level alignment, longer carrier lifetimes, and higher stability, leading to an increase in solar cell performance and retention of initial performance under ambient air conditions.
