Construction and Evaluation of a Risk Score Model for Autophagy-Related Genes in Esophageal Adenocarcinoma

Tianfu Xu et al.

Summary: The study revealed the importance of autophagy in the development of EAC and identified several related genes that may provide prognostic information and clinical value for patients with EAC. The genes DAPK1, BECN1, ATG5, and VAMP7 were found to have prognostic predictive value in EAC patients.

Development and validation of an autophagy-related prognostic signature in esophageal cancer

Hailei Du et al.

Summary: In this study, a prognostic signature was constructed with four autophagy-related genes (DNAJB1, BNIP1, VAMP7 and TBK1) in esophageal cancer patients, which showed significant predictive power for patient survival. The prognostic nomogram based on these genes may enhance the prediction of individualized outcomes, highlighting the importance of autophagy in influencing patient outcomes.
