A highly stable aqueous Zn/VS2 battery based on an intercalation reaction

Summary: This study investigates the Zn2+ storage mechanism of VS2 nanosheets as cathode for ZIBs, experimentally demonstrating the intercalation/conversion reaction mechanism of the Zn/VS2 battery. By controlling the recharge depth, irreversible conversion reactions can be blocked, leading to improved cycling performance and energy efficiency of the battery.
