A novel method involving Brønsted acid and Lewis acid co-catalysis was developed for the concise synthesis of a specific class of compounds, and it was successfully applied to the total synthesis of a natural alkaloid.
A Bronsted acid and Lewis acid co-promoted cascade cyclization reaction was developed for the concise synthesis of disubstituted pyrrolo [2,1-a] isoquinolines. The developed method was also successfully applied to the total synthesis of erythrina alkaloid Erysotramidine.
