Robust Principal Component Analysis Based On Hypergraph Regularization for Sample Clustering and Co-Characteristic Gene Selection

Ying-Lian Gao et al.

Summary: A new model called Robust Principal Component Analysis via Hypergraph Regularization (HRPCA) is proposed in this paper. HRPCA utilizes L2,1-norm to reduce the effect of outliers and make data sufficiently row-sparse. The hypergraph regularization is introduced to consider the complex relationship among data. Important information hidden in the data are mined, and this method ensures the accuracy of the resulting data relationship information.

Correntropy-Based Hypergraph Regularized NMF for Clustering and Feature Selection on Multi-Cancer Integrated Data

Na Yu et al.

Summary: This article proposes a novel method called CHNMF to address the degradation in performance of traditional NMF methods when data contain noises, outliers, or the manifold structure is not considered. The method uses correntropy and hypergraph regularization to improve algorithm robustness, and adopts HQ optimization technique for solving complex optimization problems. Experimental results show that CHNMF method outperforms other state-of-the-art methods for clustering and feature selection.
