Slow Magnetic Relaxation in a [Na2Dy4] Complex and Coexistence of Multiple Metal Rings

Hua Yang et al.

Summary: Three rare isostructural heterometallic complexes have been synthesized and exhibited different magnetic behaviors, with one of them showing single-molecule magnet behavior with a high effective energy barrier. The weak ferromagnetic coupling in these complexes mainly originates from the dipolar interaction, and the transversal magnetic moments in the ground Kramers state can suppress the quantum tunneling of magnetization.

Summary: Two new cobalt(II) complexes were studied for their influence on Ising-type magnetic anisotropy. The results show that both compounds lack slow magnetic relaxation, exhibit high-spin Co(II) ions, and possess significant magnetic anisotropy.

Summary: The four new Pr(III) mononuclear complexes have been synthesized and structurally characterized, showing different coordination numbers and structures. The ancillary chelating bipyridyl ligands greatly enhance the luminescence emission of the complexes through efficient energy transfer to the central Pr3+ ion.
