Evaluation of dietary selenium, vitamin C and E as the multi-antioxidants on the methylmercury intoxicated mice based on mercury bioaccumulation, antioxidant enzyme activity, lipid peroxidation and mitochondrial oxidative stress

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of antioxidants on methylmercury toxicity in mice. The results showed that dietary selenium, vitamin C, and vitamin E reduced serum lipid peroxidation and prolonged the cumulative survival rate of mice exposed to high levels of mercury.
