Rice husk gasification char (RHGC) has a good adsorption effect on mercury in flue gas, which is improved after modification with halogen elements. The results indicate that mercury is mainly adsorbed by the active sites on the adsorbent surface, with chemical adsorption being dominant.
Rice husk gasification char (RHGC) was the industrial solid waste of biomass gasification power plant, which had a good adsorption effect on mercury in flue gas. Its mercury adsorption performance was improved after modification of halogen elements. This paper used adsorption kinetics method to analyze adsorption mechanism of modified RHGC. The results showed that the quasi -second -order kinetic model had the highest fitting degree and R2 could reache above 0.992; mercury was mainly adsorbed by the active sites on the adsorbent surface and chemical adsorption was dominant, which will providc theoretical reference for thc efficient utilization of RHGC,
