Power law filters: A new class of fractional-order filters without a fractional-order Laplacian operator

Summary: A new category of fractional-order fillers is introduced in this work, which can be achieved through an efficient curve fitting method to approximate the frequency-domain behavior of the filter and transpose the fractional-order transfer function into the integer-order domain. The designed filters do not require fractional-order elements for implementation, as they can be realized using conventional integer-order techniques.
