Decreasing Vaccine Hesitancy With Extended Health Knowledge: Evidence From a Longitudinal Randomized Controlled Trial

Sarah Eitze et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the impact of combining information on diseases and sequelae on learning about disease risks and influencing health behavior, particularly vaccination. While an immediate increase in knowledge and risk perceptions led to changes in intentions, it did not significantly influence behavior over the long term. Extended knowledge interventions may be more effective in settings where positive intentions can directly result in action, such as doctors' clinics.

Effectiveness of intervention on behaviour change against use of non-biodegradable plastic bags: a systematic review

Gbadebo Collins Adeyanju et al.

Summary: Regulations specifically targeting the consumption of plastic bags are more effective when focused on banning 'single-use' plastic bags and imposing higher taxes or levies on consumers. Results also show that public policy or regulations can significantly influence attitudes, perceptions, and behavior changes towards bio-degradable products or climate-friendly behavior, though these behavior changes may be short-lived in some countries. Further research, including a focus on sub-national regulations, is needed.
