Co-construction of sulfur vacancies and carbon confinement in V5S8/CNFs to induce an ultra-stable performance for half/full sodium-ion and potassium-ion batteries

Lihong Xu et al.

Summary: The anode materials for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) are challenging to construct with high energy and long lifespan. Sulfur-defective vanadium sulfide/carbon fiber composites designed through a facile electrospinning method exhibit excellent storage performance and long-term cycling stability for both SIBs and PIBs. The architecture of the materials provides short-range channels, abundant adsorption sites, and enlarged interlayer spacings, resulting in reversible ion storage with low energy barriers and long cycling characteristics.
